A new addition to its Intelligent Road Solutions offering is the Pavement Repair
and Protection System. Being the developer of the worlds most advanced and
highest performing emulsified co-polymer base soil stabilizer, known as EBS, we
are now proud to announce a solution that is able to seal asphalt and
provide a flexible surface that will rehabilitate pavement surfaces that are
suffering from distress. This Pavement Protection System will extend the life
span of a cement or asphalt surface significantly – turning pavement surfaces
into an asset, not a consumable.

Soil Solutions has developed a simple
yet highly effective Pavement
Protection System based on the
utilization of a highly effective Nano
Polymer Overlay Method specifically
engineered for sealing and repairing
pavement surfaces. This unique method
increases the life and sustainability of pavement
surfaces. This method, applied as a slurry is
specifically designed to restore flexible, semi-flexible or
rigid surfaces that have experienced cracks.

Asphalt and its bitumen cousin are the most commonly used
pavement material, although they have many advantages, one
distinct disadvantage is that they lack long term durability, and are
temporary materials.

Asphalt (and bitumen) are susceptible to the effects of water, sun,
and severe weather temperatures, the result is that within 4 to 5 years,
an asphalt surface will start to crack at which point (depending on the
mix design), the wearing surface must be milled and replaced with a 1
½ inch wearing surface (at a substantial cost).

Implementation of a Pavement Protection System, whereby a
complete EBS overlay seal coating is applied to the asphalt surface
will extend the life of that pavement surface from 4-5 years to 20 years.
When applied to existing pavement surfaces it will extend the life to
10+years, it can also be applied to existing pavements that have
already experienced spalling, raveling, oxidation gradation, or
polishing. A Pavement Repair system has been developed which
can be used on existing cracks and pothole repair.
