EBS™  Soil Stabilizer

The most important aspect of road construction is Base Layer Stabilization. How well the layer works are constructed will determine the strength and contribute substantially to the longevity of the road. The wearing course layer is only as strong as the layer work beneath.

EBS™ works with the in-situ soil to bind the soil particles into a dense mass of material, which substantially increases its strength and then becomes the stabilized layer in the road design.

Geogrid Solutions
With sandy and silty soils, ground stabilization poses a challenge in terms of cost effectiveness, as in-situ material can be stabilized with large amounts of aggregate and cement, but this is not economically feasible. Geogrid technology is one method of meeting this challenge. Geogrid, with its biaxial design will effectively provide high strength junctions and stiff support which ensures the ideal automatic retention of loose soil and aggregate into a rigid layer.

Dynamic Compaction

The resulting compaction of the base layer of a road surface is critical to its ability to reach the required specified strength for the intended road use. In sub-grade soils, the source and importation of aggregate to achieve this specification can be very costly and time consuming. Dynamic Compaction negates the requirement for aggregate as it provides an extreme and deep compaction of the existing surface which dramatically improves the existing soil.

EBS™ - Road Surface Seal

Sealing a road surface is critical to the life term and sustainability of the road. The traditional methods used for gravel road construction leave the surface un-sealed that allows constant degradation in the form of run off, erosion, corrugation, potholes and significant dust to occur. These roads are extremely demanding in terms of maintenance.

Soil Solutions^®  provides its benchmark product EBS™  as a extremely cost effective and sustainable solution.

Once the road has been graded, shaped, with drainage and compacted, EBS™  is applied as a surface seal. The initial application will perform for 12+ months. The result is a solid surface which is protected from run off and erosion and a dust free surface. This treatment ensures the retention of the road material and allows for a superior road surface. Once an EBS™ Surface Seal is applied the road will NEVER require grading again, only a maintenance application of the surface seal.
