Bamburi Cement Limited Mombasa, Kenya, a subsidiary of LaFarge, a world leader in building materials and an end-user orientated Cement Company across Eastern Africa contacted Soil Solutions to find a solution for the reduction of fugitive dust emissions created by cement trucks on the access road of their Mombasa Plant which effected neighbouring communities.
Soil Solutions ascertained through discussions and Assessments of the existing road surface that an EBS Surface Seal would solve the problem. The road surface was prepared by grading, shaping, and profiling the surface to ensure proper drainage, followed by compacting to a smooth finish followed by the EBS Surface Seal application.
